45-year-old Jorge Cortez-Sanchez had a domestic disturbance with his girlfriend, Cary Diaz, at their home on Hickory Trace Drive in the early hours of January 27th. Diaz spoke with the authorities when they arrived and advised them that Cortez-Sanchez had come home intoxicated, entered their bedroom, pinched her to wake up, and tried to slide her pajamas down. Then, she told Cortez-Sanchez to stop, which is when he got aggressive and tried to push her out of the room. Christopher Aguilar, a witness, told officers that he heard a commotion from Diaz’s room, so he went to check on her and saw Cortez-Sanchez on top of her, pinning her down. Christopher then exited the room and alerted authorities. Cortez-Sanchez spoke with officers and denied that any argument or altercation occurred. He said he was tired from work and that he and Diaz sat and talked until he went to sleep.  Cortez-Sanchez was deemed the primary aggressor and was taken into custody for domestic assault.
