29-year-old Edwin Saul nearly struck an officer’s patrol car with his blue Tacoma on I-40 in the early hours of February 3rd. Officers noticed this, drove behind him for further observation, and observed him swerving before they initiated a traffic stop. Saul passed several safe spots to pull into and stopped halfway onto the shoulder lane, partially in a travel lane. They approached and asked him to exit the vehicle, to which he complied, and watched him stumble while walking to their patrol car. Saul was detained, and in a subsequent search of his pickup truck, officers located several open containers throughout the vehicle. Saul was taken into custody for driving under the influence.
Edwin Saul of Nashville, TN, was booked into the Metro Nashville Jail on February 3rd, charged with DUI. A judicial commissioner set his bond at $1,000, and the Davidson County Sheriff’s Office gave him pre-trial release from their facility.
