DUI: Musician Nicholas Banos crashes Honda Civic into large rock at Metro Parks Greenway

29-year-old Nicholas William Banos of local band “Manic.”, crashed his black Honda Civic into a large rock at the entrance of the Metro Parks Greenway and struck a tree on the walking path on February 4th. Banos was sitting in the driver’s seat when officers arrived, and then he advised them he had dropped his friend off and was headed to the “west side.” Officers asked for his driver’s credentials, but he continued to get sidetracked. Banos handed them his bank card while trying to locate his license, and then he admitted to having six drinks of liquor and beer. Admitting he had his last drink about an hour before the incident. Officers noticed he was visibly intoxicated before he consented to sobriety tests and performed poorly. He agreed to provide a breath sample, which resulted in 0.135 BAC%. Banos was taken into custody for driving under the influence.

Nicholas William Banos of Batavia Street in Nashville, TN, was booked into the Metro Nashville Jail on February 4th, charged with DUI. A judicial commissioner set his bond at $2,500, and the Davidson County Sheriff’s Office gave him pre-trial release from their facility.
