Isabela and another passenger were outside the car as officers stopped by to check on their wellbeing. Occupants were trying to climb out of the vehicle when officers approached Isabela and noticed she was visibly intoxicated. Two passengers named her as the driver during the collision. Isabela could not perform sobriety tests due to injuries, and she was transported to Vanderbilt Hospital by paramedics. Officers observed several cases of Modelo beer cans and one Heineken beer bottle throughout the vehicle. A collision investigation showed they were traveling northbound on Bell Road and drove off the road into a rock wall during a right curve.
