Ja’Korey Hunter charged with assault of woman at gay bar in Nashville; she punches him in face

21-year-old Ja’Korey Hunter was at Play Dance Bar at 2 a.m. Saturday when police say he sexually assaulted Brittanee Anderson. According to witnesses and video of the incident, Hunter walked up behind the victim, who was dancing with her friend, Kolton Dixon. He then reportedly put his arms around her waist and then placed his hand up her dress, touching her genital area and fondling her. She immediately confronts Hunter and punches him in the face. On Wednesday, 30-year-old Crystal Stohr posted to her social media, “Here I come, Nashville!” as she left Nebraska. By Friday afternoon, she posted photos from Kid Rock’s Bar on Broadway in downtown Nashville. By Saturday, she had the ultimate exclusive Nashville souvenir — a mugshot from music city. She was so intoxicated and disruptive at Redneck Riveria that she was asked to leave the venue. When her friend arrived to assist her, she refused to walk with them and drunkenly ran away along Broadway multiple times. She was taken into custody and charged with public intoxication.

Paulina Ceja Sanchez found with packaged heroin and marijuana during traffic stop

21-year-old Paulina Ceja Sanchez was in the passenger seat of a Jeep Grand Cherokee that was traveling the wrong way on a one-way street in downtown Nashville on January 16. During a subsequent traffic stop, officers smelled marijuana coming from the vehicle, and a probable cause search was conducted. In a zipper bag which she claimed, officers located 13.5 grams of marijuana and individually packaged capsules with a folded piece of paper in each, which contained 0.9 grams of heroin. A loaded Sig P365 was also located, along with scales and a grinder.

DUI: Chelsea Chamberlain crashed into Belmont Blvd home after drinking at nearby bar

Police say 28-year-old Chelsea Chamberlain crashed her vehicle into the front of a multi-million dollar home on Belmont Blvd, owned by Attorney Robert Eric Thornton, causing significant structural damage. The homeowner says she and a passenger fled the scene after the crash but caught up with them about 100 feet away, which is where officers located everyone involved. Chelsea says she was attempting to take her friend home at the time of the accident and admitted she had been drinking at a bar down the street. She performed poorly on field sobriety tests and blew a 0.179% BAC on a breathalyzer.

Renauld Clayton charged in downtown DUI, argues he passed field sobriety tests

Police say 35-year-old Renauld Clayton made an illegal u-turn at 11th & Broadway, just one block away from his home, just after 11 p.m. Wednesday. Officers conducted a traffic stop and reported immediately smelling alcohol as they approached the vehicle. He claimed not to have consumed any alcohol, but his female passenger claimed the smell was coming from her. He performed poorly on field sobriety tests, despite arguing that he passed them all. He was taken into custody and charged with DUI. In 2022, Clayton was sentenced to 32 months in federal prison for his student loan fraud scheme at Tennessee State University, where he was an employee.

DUI: Cameron Sathngam crashes into stranger’s car & garage — blows .241% BAC

30-year-old Cameron Sathngam drove his 2006 Nissan Maxima into a stranger’s driveway at 4:30 p.m. Wednesday, striking their parked vehicle and colliding with their garage door. Officers arrived and noted his extreme level of intoxication. Cameron stated, “I just hit the car,” but could not recall any events that led up to the crash. He attempted to hand officers his credit card when asked for his proof of insurance. He performed poorly on field sobriety tests and blew a 0.241% BAC on a breathalyzer — more than triple the legal limit.

Parker Jones spits in officer’s mouth, kicks another in testicles after fighting parents

Police say 18-year-old Richard Parker Jones (AKA rparkeyjones from the forklift video) was in an argument with his parents, upset they would not co-sign a car loan for him. Officers responded to the Whitworth Way home of Donald Bradly Jones and Beth Higgins Jones on the afternoon of January 16 after the teenager had punched his father in the face and head before placing him in a choke-hold in a fit of rage. The mother’s 911 call states her son was attempting to strangle his father, then pushed his mother. The parents eventually restrained him, but he escaped their grasp after a short time and began to punch holes throughout the walls of the home before fleeing. Officers encountered him nearby, and as they were taking him into custody, he kicked Officer Blake Langford in the testicles, spit into Officer Jared Dick’s mouth, and spit on Sgt. Ky Luu. Jones was restrained and contained, and transported to booking. At the time of his arrest, Jones had an outstanding warrant charging him with the theft of two cases of White Claws from a Nashville Mapco store.

Tourist Adam Foulke charged with assault of his girlfriend in downtown Nashville hotel

Metro Nashville Police officers responded to the Sentral SoBro on January 18 after residents reported a loud argument coming from the hallway near the elevator. Officers arrived and could hear 26-year-old Adam Foulke screaming for his girlfriend, Samantha Moore, to go to bed as she screamed for him to let her leave. Initially, neither person would answer the knocks at the door, but eventually, Samantha opened the door, and they both exited. She explained they had an argument over her phone being stolen that turned physical when Adam grabbed her and threw her onto the ground, then pushed her into a wall. Police documented multiple bruises and abrasions on the victim at the scene. Adam denied everything and said she was the one that had assaulted him, and he simply “placed her in the bedroom” to stop her from kicking him. Adam was determined to be the primary aggressor and was taken into custody.

Musician Oscar Lindsey charged after painting graffiti on abandoned White Castle building

20-year-old Nashville musician Oscar Lindsey was caught in the act of spray painting graffiti on the abandoned White Castle building on Charlotte Pike. Oscar was holding a can of spray paint when approached by police. He was issued a state citation for vandalism and was booked on that charge this week. Lindsey has a new song, “Three Strike Policy,” available on his “B sides” album, available on all platforms.

Karstea Johnson charged with selling beer to a minor during Predators game at Bridgestone

28-year-old Karstea Johnson sold a Michelob Ultra to a confidential informant with the Tennessee Alcohol Beverage Commission (TABC), who presented an ID stating their age as 19, which Johnson visually checked. A special agent witnessed the sale, which occurred during the Nashville Predators hockey game on December 13, and issued a citation to Johnson for the crime. She was booked on that citation this week.
