Patricia Ethridge told police that her boyfriend of five months, 43-year-old Rodney Dwayne Brooks, “got mad and started hitting her and throwing her around.” She disclosed that Brooks body slammed her and strangled her. Officers documented a long bruise across her neck, a bruise in her right ear, and on her chin.
Rodney Dwayne Brooks was booked into the Metro Nashville Jail on September 16th, charged with aggravated assault with strangulation. A judicial commissioner set his bond at $15,000.
