37-year-old Samuel Elrod was stumbling in and out of traffic on Charlotte Pike when police encountered him. He swayed as he crossed the road and told officers, “I’m drunk.” Due to his extreme level of intoxication, officers offered medical transport to the hospital, but Elrod refused. He was transported to booking and charged with public intoxication.
Samuel Elrod was booked into the Metro Nashville Jail on January 22nd, charged with public intoxication. A judicial commissioner set his bond at $100.
