21-year-old Jake Stevens was driving a green Scion into the Walmart Neighborhood Market on Gallatin Pike on April 13 when he parked near a Toyota Sequoia, which was being surveilled by Metro Nashville Police. A person from the Toyota got into Stevens’ vehicle and conducted what detectives believed to be a hand-to-hand drug transaction. Detectives approached the vehicle and found Stevens to have a scale in his lap with white powder on it. Inside the vehicle, a bag of 2.4 grams of Fentanyl was located between his seat and the center console, and Stevens alerted officers he had a firearm in his waistband. Another bag of 1.6 grams of methamphetamine was also located. Stevens admitted to being a “drug dealer” and stated he was also addicted to drugs.

Jake A. Stevens was booked into the Metro Nashville Jail on April 13th, charged with possession of a weapon during the commission of a dangerous felony and two counts of possession of a Schedule II drug with intent. A judicial commissioner set his bond at $17,500.
