Cierra Brown charged in assault of musician in downtown Nashville

18-year-old Cierra Brown is charged with the assault of downtown musician Sarah Wortham. Wortham was pulling her music equipment along 4th Ave just before midnight on April 28. Brown was driving by and began to honk as she was partially in the roadway. Wortham struck the hood of Brown’s car with her hand and continued to walk away onto the sidewalk. Brown exited her vehicle and followed Wortham, and came up from behind and hit her in her upper body, knocking her down onto the sidewalk. The victim required medical treatment, including multiple stitches to her forehead. Brown fled the scene but was identified by a surveillance camera on 4th Ave North which captured the assault.

Cierra Brown of Buenaview Court in Nashville, TN, was booked into the Metro Nashville Jail on May 16, charged with assault. A judicial commissioner set her bond at $1,000, and the Davidson County Sheriff’s Office gave her pre-trial release from their facility.
