28-year-old Joshua Wilson was found asleep behind the wheel of his running truck at the intersection of Monroe Street and Rosa Parks Blvd at 12:21 a.m. Sunday. Officers blocked the vehicle and attempted to wake the driver using air horns but were unsuccessful — the engine was running, and his foot was on the break with the transmission in drive. He was eventually awakened and was visibly intoxicated, reeking of alcohol. He stated he was drinking alcohol in East Nashville, where he consumed one mixed drink and three shots prior to driving.
