Octavio Gomez punches bouncer in face at Nashville Underground

27-year-old Octavio Gomez was denied entry to Nashville Underground on Broadway in downtown Nashville in the early hours of Saturday morning due to his extreme level of intoxication. He initially walked away but soon returned and punched the bouncer, Steven Derner, in the face. Nearby Metro Nashville Police Officers then took Gomez into custody and charged him with assault and public intoxication.

Octavio Gomez of Pleasant Drive in Henryville, IN, was booked into the Metro Nashville Jail on July 1, charged with assault and public intoxication. A judicial commissioner set his bond at $3,000, and the Davidson County Sheriff’s Office gave him pre-trial release from their facility.
