24-year-old Rachel Elaine, James McKay‘s girlfriend, was asked alongside James to leave their flight by American Airlines employees due to their level of intoxication. Airport Officer Smith reported that she had signs of intoxication, was emotionally distraught, and was not cooperative with them while escorting her to the Ground Transportation Center. She was instructed to call a taxi or Uber to leave the property for the night but instead called her friend, which she had done several times already, so police placed her and James into custody for public intoxication.
Rachel Elaine was booked into the Metro Nashville Jail on August 26th, charged with public intoxication. A judicial commissioner set her bond at $1,000.
