On September 4th, TSU student DeMyla Wood was at Eatons Creek, where she said she was assaulted by two other TSU students, 19-year-old Raven Crain and Lashaelynn Smith. Wood stated that Crain sprayed her with a water gun and asked her not to do so anymore. A witness mentions time passing before Crain confronted Wood, asking her, “You want to fight?” Ms. Wood replied,” No” before being struck in the head by Crain. A recorded interview shows Ms. Wood and two other witnesses stating Smith instantly joined Crain by striking Wood. It was reported that once the assault ended, all parties separated but stayed present before a second assault was initiated by Crain prior to Wood’s departure, rushing, striking, and pulling her hair, causing multiple bodily injuries to Ms. Wood.
