43-year-old Janet Mabry was arrested for outstanding warrants for aggravated burglary and two counts of theft on October 19th. Officers were initially dispatched to Brewer Dr. regarding a domestic disturbance on September 23rd. As officers arrived, they spoke with Miles Little, son of Robert Little, who stated that Mabry, Robert’s ex-girlfriend, was in his house when he got there from school and that she had been evicted from the residence since August 12th. Miles told officers that the only thing Mabry said to him was “she had turned the water off” and that he heard the water running in the basement. As he went to investigate, he saw the connection hose to the washer spewing water and that the washer and dryer had been removed. Officers were told that Mabry arrived in a U-Haul to collect her belongings and was the only one in the house the day before the washer and dryer were missing. Miles contacted his dad, who called the police. Robert informed officers that the washer and dryer cost approximately $4,000 and that Mabry may have used a spare key that she kept after being evicted. Mabry additionally grabbed several of Robert’s watches and Zippo lighters valued at around $2,000, according to police. Her friends stood outside with ‘Free Janey’ signs as she was being released from jail on bond, as posted on her social media (screenshots below).
