28-year-old Victor Austin had an altercation with the mother of his child, Akira Turner, at their home on December 10th. Turner stated that she told Austin to clean his face before kissing their newborn, and an argument ensued when he refused and grabbed her by the neck, leaving a mark where he strangled her. Then, he went to the back while she went to the bathroom; when she returned, another dispute sparked, where she grabbed a knife. They wrestled over the knife until she let go of it, and then he slammed her to the floor. Officers arrived and observed injuries to both parties but deemed Austin as the primary aggressor and placed him into custody for aggravated assault.
Victor Austin of Valley Grove Drive in Hermitage, TN, was booked into the Metro Nashville Jail on December 10th, charged with aggravated assault. He is free on a $7,500 bond.
