24-year-old Yersson Peters-Davila had a domestic dispute with his girlfriend, Heilyn Montoya-Rodriguez, in front of Honky Tonk Central in the early hours of December 17th. Officers were patrolling Broadway when they observed Peters-Davila arguing with Montoya-Rodriguez before striking her in the face with an open hand, causing her to stagger back and almost fall. He then walked toward her, so she swung her purse at him in self-defense as officers shouted at Peters-Davila to stop and got between them. Peters-Davila used his chest to push away from officers to get to Montoya-Rodriguez and continued to pull his arms away but was eventually detained. He was taken into custody for domestic assault, disorderly conduct, and resisting arrest.
Yersson Peters Davila was booked into the Metro Nashville Jail on December 17th, charged with domestic assault, resisting arrest, and disorderly conduct. A judicial commissioner set his bond at $2,500.
