32-year-old Roberto Cagal-Mozo was involved in a domestic altercation with his wife, Marisela Mateo Alonzo, at East Palestine Avenue in the early hours of December 17th. The dispute began with an argument over Alonzo driving another man home earlier in the week. Cagal-Mozo was highly intoxicated and began to follow Alonzo around the house, arguing with her. As Alonzo Put their child to bed, Cagal-Mozo slapped her and began strangling her. The situation then de-escalated, and she was able to go to sleep. Alonzo, shortly after, was woken up by him choking her again but kept consciousness both times. Cagal-Mozo strangling her caused multiple red marks on her neck and a bump with bruising on her forehead. Cagal-Mozo was taken into custody and charged with aggravated assault.
Roberto Cagal-Mozo of East Palestine Avenue in Madisonge, TN, was booked into the Metro Nashville Jail on December 17th, charged with aggravated assault. A judicial commissioner set his bond at $10,000.
