34-year-old Rachel Rose was sleeping in her vehicle near Gallatin Avenue and Dozier Place late December 29th. A concerned citizen observed this, and alerted officers, believing she was intoxicated. Officers approached the car and observed Rose awake in the driver’s seat. She stumbled as she exited the vehicle, dropping her cell phone. They asked if she had consumed any alcohol, and she told them she had “a couple of drinks.” She consented to sobriety tests, performed poorly, and provided a breath sample, which resulted in 0.144% BAC. She was taken into custody for driving under the influence.
