64-year-old Terry Sampson was involved in a domestic dispute with his wife, Nancy Sampson, on Magnolia Farms Drive on January 9th. Mrs. Sampson spoke with officers and advised them that she and Terry had argued regarding their shared pets and keys since they were separating. Then, she stated that the altercation escalated when he began to strangle her. She said that she started to punch and kick him in self-defense as he held her against a wall. Officers observed a scratch mark and some redness around her neck. Terry told officers that Nancy tugged at his shirt, hitting him, so he pushed her away in the neck area to defend himself. Then, he said she threatened to shoot him but did not have access to a gun. Officers determined that Nancy’s injuries were not consistent with his statements and deemed Terry as the primary aggressor. He was taken into custody for domestic assault.
