22-year-old Brent Kitchens sped northbound on Nolensville Pike before swerving and colliding with a brick wall on the morning of February 7th. Officers witnessed this, and when they approached him, he stated he “messed up” and admitted to drinking alcoholic beverages at his friend’s house before driving. He was visibly intoxicated as he consented to sobriety tests, performed poorly, and provided a blood sample after being informed of implied consent. Officers located an open bottle of beer in his center console, and then he was taken into custody for driving under the influence and an open container violation.
