20-year-old Lyndon Williams was booked on February 16th after assaulting his girlfriend during an argument at their home on Charlotte Pike. Deja Moore stated during their argument, Williams took their son out of the vehicle and walked away with him in the parking lot. Moore followed Williams and told him she wouldn’t let him walk off with their son and have nowhere to go. Moore attempted to take the child away from Williams, but he immediately began hitting and pushing her. Williams then fell to the ground with the child in his arms but got back up to strangle Moore to the point she couldn’t breathe. Once Moore broke free, the couple began to fight. Williams told police that he strangled Moore in self-defense because she hit him first. Both parties had cuts and scratches on their knees, elbows, and hands from the struggle on the ground. Williams was determined to be the dominant aggressor and was taken into custody.
