Nygia Noble assaults boyfriend, causes $2,400 in damage to his property during argument

19-year-old Nygia Noble was booked on February 15th for assaulting her boyfriend on Sonya Drive. Noble told the police that she and her boyfriend, Devonte Harris, were supposed to go on a date for Valentine’s Day, but he never answered his phone. So, Noble went to his apartment and knocked on the door. While at his apartment, Noble checked his phone and noticed another woman messaging him, which upset her. Noble admitted to knocking items over in the kitchen in anger. Noble told police that when she walked into the parking lot, Devonte grabbed her by the collar of her shirt and pushed her to the ground. Officers noted that Noble had no visible injuries.

Officers then spoke to Devonte, who stated when Noble got to his apartment, she began pounding on his apartment door, causing $200 in damage. Devonte opened the door, and Noble entered his apartment as they began to argue. Noble then threw a glass bottle at Devonte, which grazed him before falling to the ground and causing a two-inch dent in the wood floors. The estimated cost of the damages to the floor was $200. Noble then left his apartment and keyed the driver’s door of his Lexus. The estimated cost of damages to the vehicle was $2,000. Devonte admitted that to stop Noble from keying his car, he grabbed her by her shirt and pushed her to the ground. Noble was taken into custody for domestic assault and vandalism on February 15th.

Nygia Noble of Brick Church Pike in Nashville, TN, was booked into the Metro Nashville Jail on February 15th, charged with domestic assault and vandalism. She is free on a $50 bond.
