26-year-old Ryan Deveaux was in a single-vehicle car crash on Interstate 24 East at Exit 59 on April 7th. When officers came into contact with Deveaux, he demonstrated multiple signs of intoxication as well as the smell of an alcoholic beverage. While speaking to Deveaux, he requested to be seen by an ambulance. NFD arrived shortly after and checked on Deveaux, but he refused any medical treatment. Deveaux consented to sobriety tests and performed poorly. Deveaux was then taken into custody and read implied consent, which he refused. After officers transported Deveaux to booking, they found that his driver’s license was from the Bahamas. Deveaux did not have a valid US driver’s license, so he is legally prohibited from operating a vehicle in Tennessee. Ryan Deveaux was charged with implied consent, driving under the influence, and driving without a driver’s license.
