22-year-old Logan Tyler Thompson threatened Tyler Worden with a knife near The Musicians Hall of Fame Museum around 7:42 p.m. on April 25th. Upon arrival, officers spoke with Worden. Worden stated that a male, later identified as Thompson, who was wearing a black hoodie and green pants, approached him, demanding that he move. Then, he said that Thompson pulled out a knife and stated, “I’ll cut your throat if you don’t move!” Officers searched the area and located a man who matched the description, identified as Thompson, near the WeGo Central Bus Station on Martin Luther King Boulevard with a large machete in his waistband. Officers detained him and conducted a “show-up,” where Worden identified him. Kimberly Lanham, a witness, spoke with officers and corroborated Worden’s statements. Thompson was then taken into custody for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
