22-year-old Wilmer Lopez Lopez was taken into custody for aggravated burglary on April 30th. Kensi Garcia Lindo, Lopez’s neighbor, called the police to her Murfreesboro Pike Apartment, advising them that Lopez entered her unit without permission and started to sniff her underwear. Lindo added that when she returned home, she found Lopez exiting with her undergarments, causing her to say, “Please do not do anything to me,” fearing his actions. Lindo stated Lopez followed her to the end of the hallway, repeatedly telling her, “I’m sorry,” and apologizing. Lindo said when she returned to her apartment, she discovered her underwear balled up in her bathroom. Aaron Garcia, her sister, told officers that she encountered Lopez entering his apartment, where he told her, “He has necessities,” referring to his sexual desires. Officers then spoke with Lopez, who admitted to entering Lindo’s unit, adding that her door was unlocked. However, he never acknowledged taking or sniffing Lindo’s underwear. Despite this, officers found multiple open drawers as well as five balled-up pairs of underwear in the bathroom, which Lindo said were displaced. Lopez was then taken into custody for aggravated burglary on May 1st.
Wilmer Lopez Lopez was booked into the Metro Nashville Jail on April 30th, charged with aggravated burglary. A judicial commissioner set his bond at $7,500.
