When officers gave the breathalyzer tube to 21-year-old Irving Brown at the police station on February 12, he nearly fell over while sitting at the table. A second attempt resulted in his head hitting the table as he was unable to sit up due to his level of intoxication. How did we get here? Brown was initially pulled over for running a red light near the Wedgewood / 65 S onramp. He was slow to stop, and once he did, officers located an empty bottle of el Jimador Tequila at his feet. He reeked of alcohol and performed poorly on field sobriety tests. He was then transported to booking for a breathalyzer.

Irving Devaughn Brown III of Kings Ct in Nashville, TN, was booked into the Metro Nashville Jail on February 12th, charged with an implied consent violation and driving under the influence. A judicial commissioner set his bond at $1,000.
