Police say 36-year-old Amy Aylward was found sitting on the curb beside a burning vehicle at 4:30 a.m. on May 8th in Antioch. She appeared to be heavily intoxicated and stated she had been drinking in downtown Nashville in the hours prior. She claimed she was not driving the vehicle, which was now engulfed in flames. Neighbors were unable to place her in the driver’s seat of the car. As she repeatedly walked into the middle of the roadway during the investigation, she was eventually taken into custody for public intoxication.
Amy Aylward was booked into the Metro Nashville Jail on May 8th, charged with public intoxication. A judicial commissioner set her bond at $100.
