DUI: Clayton McCool found stopped in the middle of an active roadway

35-year-old Clayton McCool stopped in the middle of an active roadway on Division Street in the early hours of February 4th. Officers observed this when they arrived and asked him to exit the vehicle. McCool’s keys were found on the sidewalk as he told them he had been driving but was unaware of how they ended up on the sidewalk. They observed McCool to be visibly intoxicated as he consented to sobriety tests and performed poorly. Officers Mirandized McCool as he refused to provide a blood sample and informed him of implied consent. McCool was taken into custody for driving under the influence and an implied consent violation.

Clayton D. McCool of Hilton Lane in Castalian Springs, TN, was booked into the Metro Nashville Jail on February 4th, charged with DUI and implied consent. A judicial commissioner set his bond at $2,500, and the Davidson County Sheriff’s Office gave him pre-trial release from their facility.
