58-year-old Khaled Abed and his stepson, Nooruldeen Opel, scuffled with their guest, Leith El-Mohammed, at their Woodland Pointe Drive residence on March 27th. When officers arrived, they spoke with El-Mohammed, who stated he had stayed the night at Abed and Opel’s while searching for a place to live. Then, he said an argument ensued, where Opel told him to leave, so he did. While exiting, Opel told Abed to come outside, then they attacked El-Mohammed in the middle of the street and dragged him to the ground. El-Mohammed provided officers with footage from his cell phone, showing Opel and Abed throwing punches at him before it became indiscernible. He advised officers that he wished to prosecute them for the attack. Officers noticed El-Mohammed had minor abrasions to his left elbow and right knuckles. Abed and Opel were cited for the incident. Abed and Opel then failed to appear in court or pay fines by April 11th. Abed was booked on the citation of assault on April 15th.
