28-year-old Choice Edward Yates was taken into custody for driving under the influence on April 20th. Officers observed a Ford Focus that a witness reported had been used in a hit-and-run, pulling out of a garage onto 4th Avenue North. Yates told officers that he had three shots at the bar. The officers noticed he was “delayed” in putting the vehicle in park, along with displaying a “glossy look in his eyes” so they asked him to take sobriety tests, which he consented to and showed numerous signs of impairment. Yates was then taken into custody for driving under the influence.
