23-year-old Jonas Schmidt was involved in a two-vehicle accident with Terry Mann at the intersection of Harding Place and I-24 West on April 19th. Upon arrival, officers located Schmidt and noticed he reeked of alcohol as he told them that he had three to four alcoholic beverages before driving. They had him take sobriety tests, where he performed poorly, so they read him implied consent, and he agreed to provide a breath sample, resulting in 0.131 BAC%. Schmidt was then taken into custody for driving under the influence.
