23-year-old Alexander Salyers had a single-vehicle accident near Old Hickory Boulevard on April 20th. Officers were advised about the crash via a third-party caller. When officers arrived, they located Salyers, who appeared confused, staring at the damage to his vehicle. Then, he told officers he was unaware of how the accident occurred and admitted to having three to four alcoholic drinks before driving. Salyers consented to sobriety tests and then performed poorly. Officers searched his vehicle and located a loaded Sig Sauer pistol and an open 12-ounce Miller Lite. Salyers was taken into custody for driving under the influence and an open container violation.
