Citizens alerted police that 31-year-old Haleigh Painter was passed out in the driver’s seat of her wrecked vehicle near 1st & Spring Street in the early hours of Saturday morning. Police arrived to find her now awake and sitting behind the wheel. She was unable to explain where she was, how she got there, or why her car was disabled due to the right front wheel being bent. She only knew that she had left work at City Tap House and went to Mother’s Ruin, where she had “one beer.” She performed poorly on field sobriety tests and was taken into custody.
