Malcole Ayers blows double legal limit after hit-and-run in Antioch

24-year-old Malcole Ayers was jailed on July 16th after a hit-and-run near Bell Road. The victim of the accident reported that a grey Mercedes hit his vehicle and continued to drive away. He followed the Mercedes to Southpoint Apartments, where police arrived shortly after. Ms. Ayers admitted to hitting the vehicle and driving off because she was scared. Both vehicles had damages as a result of the crash. Police could smell alcohol coming from Ms. Ayers, and her eyes were bloodshot. She admitted to police that she had three shots of tequila earlier that night. Ms. Ayers agreed to perform sobriety tests and displayed multiple indicators of impairment. She also blew a .164 BAC on the breathalyzer.

Malcole Erica Ayers of Oakwell Farm Ln in Hermitage, TN, was booked into the Metro Nashville Jail on July 16th, charged with leaving the scene of an accident and driving under the influence. A judicial commissioner set her bond at $1,500, and the Davidson County Sheriff’s Office gave her pre-trial release from their facility.
