50-year-old Donyale Jackson was sleeping on the steps at The Lindsley Avenue Church around 2:15 p.m. on March 15th. Officers observed this and confirmed that the Church had a valid trespass waiver. So, officers stopped Jackson and questioned him, during which he stated he had a knife and “pipes” in his pocket. Officers searched him and located four pipes: three glass and one metal, which appeared to have been used to smoke crack. He told them the last time he consumed crack was on March 14th. Officers cited him for the incident that day. Jackson failed to pay fines or appear in court, so he was booked on the citations for criminal trespass and the unlawful use of drug paraphernalia on April 12th.
