27-year-old tourist Colton McMillan was involved in a brawl near the Sun Diner in downtown Nashville early Friday morning after another man pushed him on the sidewalk. McMillan attempted to flee when officers separated the parties and ran when told to stop. A security guard tripped McMillan as he ran past, but he was still able to compose himself and outrun the officers behind him. As he neared the pedestrian bridge, McMillan fell a second time, and officers were able to catch up with him. He struggled and resisted as he was being cuffed and became extremely aggressive with officers. He told Officer Liquori she “couldn’t fight” and “did not deserve equal pay.” He was transported to Metro General to be cleared due to some scrapes from the altercation and then to booking.
